US Remains Hopeful On Colombia Trade Pact Deal, Official Says

The U.S. is still hopeful that a deal can be reached with Colombia ensuring the enforcement of labor rights following another round of trade talks over the weekend, a senior official said Wednesday.

Tim Reif, general counsel at the U.S. Trade Representative's office, said Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos' administration has taken a number of steps in the right direction.
