Panama President: Hopes US Congress Will Approve Trade Deal By August

Panamanian President Ricardo Martinelli said Friday he doesn't expect the free-trade deal to have any trouble getting through the U.S. Congress, with a vote expected within the next few months.

"We don't expect any difficulty at all," Martinelli said at an event hosted by the Woodrow Wilson Center, saying the deal should boost jobs and growth in both countries.
