Administration Sees Progress on Trade Deals

The Obama administration is making progress toward conclusion of free trade agreements with South Korea, Colombia and Panama, and hatching a strategy on how to sell them, officials said Tuesday.

The administration is expected to send congressional leaders a letter as soon as Wednesday saying it is ready to begin preliminary discussions on passing a free trade agreement with Colombia, setting that pact on a legislative track.
