Vietnam and the United States Tuesday said that the two countries will continue to boost cooperation in several areas, including trade and investment, education and in dealing with the legacy of war in Vietnam.
"Vietnam has emerged as a leader in the Lower Mekong sub-region and in Southeast Asia, where the United States and Vietnam share strategic interests," U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said at a briefing after meeting with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.
